Most clinic designs are not places one wants to be sitting in for an extended period of time. With white-washed walls and an uncomfortable feeling right from walking in the door, it's no wonder people tend to avoid coming to these places. However, these hip, more modern clinics are aiming to change this perception.
One office located in Soho in London for example has done everything it can to make drop-ins more relaxing. Most things are automated, so there isn't an awkward encounter when the receptionist asks what the problem is. Even some of the test is automated, as sections are reserved for giving samples and then placing them in a tube which is sucked up through a hole and whisked to the lab. Talk about high tech.
