While artificially intelligent apps launch to help smartphone users with a variety of everyday tasks, physical assistant robots are also becoming increasingly available to consumers. From minding your children to helping in surgery, robotic assistants could make a big difference in the home and in the workforce.
Home assistant robots such as the LG Hub Robot, Zenbo from Asus or the cute and family friendly Xibot are making home management more automated, providing benefits to busy stay at home moms, overwhelmed professionals and multitasking freelancers who work from home. Child-minding robots and robotic pet assistants are also designed to monitor living things within the home.
Robotic assistants can be found in a number of specialized occupations as well, including haircut-suggesting robots and silicone airport assistants. These technological advancements suggests science fiction subjects may not be far off.
