The team behind the campaign worked with researchers from Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital to capture the sound of breast and lung cancer cells at the exact moment they're destroyed.
At the 2023 ASCO Annual Meeting, the sound was shared for the first time, giving attendees the ability to immerse themselves in the experience at designated listening stations. To accompany the audio, production company Hogarth created a video that shows the impact that the sounds have on cancer patients, who are exposed to many unpleasant sensory experiences during the long process of undergoing treatment.
