The Hug Cup Allows Users to Easily Grip Around the Cup on Chilly Days

The Hug Cup is an upgraded, ergonomic mug. The reinterpreted ceramic mug replaces the conventional side handle with central gripping spaces. Similar to a tunnel for your hands, the Hug Cup grips serve as an internal handle, ideal for those living with joint pain or osteoarthritis.

Designed by ceramic artist Eszter Imre, the Hug Cup's finger tunnel makes holding the mug feel like a warm hand hug. The design concept came from attributing a personal relation to the objects we use daily, such as a cup. Moreover, an inverted handle allows users to securely grip their cups while feeling the warmth from their beverage. Users can slide their thumb through the designated tunnel without burning their hands.
