After a long day of work, satisfying the energetic urges of your dog can be a real sore -- luckily, Sphero will do all the entertaining, as you sit back, kick back and relax.
In a sentence, Sphero is a programmable hamster ball that users control with their iOS or Android device via Bluetooth. A touchscreen control pad is one way of manoeuvring the device, though you're invited to use the iPhones accelerometer to navigate the Sphero (sort of like a Wiimote). Although I've had my eyes on this hamster ball for a while, it's made radical changes since its first appearance on TrendHunter a year ago.
For starters, the designers have ditched the off-putting chrome look in favor of a clean, pearly scheme. The reason? Just below the surface of Sphero's polycarbonate exoskeleton is an array of LED light, making the hamster ball glow and throb as your kitten chases it around the living room!
