Amelia Santiago has created these cute felt creations of dogs, kittens, and other household pets using needle felting and wool fibers.

The realistic sculptures each took about 20 hours to complete and Amelia Santiago has created more than 300 of the animal replicas.

Amelia Santiago is intent on detail and spends a great amount of time making sure she “capture[s] the personality of the dog through his or her eyes.”

Implications - Stuffed animals are a timeless toddler toy as they are a comforting and familiar force for child consumers that teach love, attachment and care. In an increasingly tech-infused society, parents continue to purchase these simple, traditional toys as the values associated with them are important for children with decreasing attention spans and dwindling social skills.
