Mercedes-Amg Adds New SL43 Model to Its Sports-Focused SL Line

Mercedes-AMG, the high-performance subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz, has added a new model to its SL line called the SL43. The company has positioned the new entry-level vehicle below its powerful V8 models, making it a more accessible option for customers in search of their first sports-focused convertible.

In terms of power, the SL43 comes equipped with an inline four-cylinder engine that produces 381 hp and 351 lb-ft of torque. In addition, the vehicle delivers an added 14 hp boost when equipped with the company's second-generation RSG. Thanks to this robust setup, the SL43 is capable of going 0-62 mph in as a little as 4.9 seconds while reaching an (electronically limited) top speed of 170mph.

Moreover, the new model uses the same technology as the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team. As of right now, the company has yet to announce a specific release date for the sleek new convertible.
