The Pic3D Transforms 2D LCD Screens Easily to 3D Imaging Glasses-Free

Japanese company Global Wave has recently developed a first of its kind special film called Pic3D that can transform 2D LCD screens into 3D display. Pic3D is being developed so that its use can range from laptop screens to iPhone screens.

Pic3D uses a lenticular lens system, which is a range of magnifying lenses to expose images in different angles to create the impression of depth, thus giving the look of 3D imaging. Also, Pic3D's lenticular lens system maintains 90% of the LCD's brightness.

Pic3D, due out in August, is priced at $25 for iPhones and $186 for 23-inch screens. To get a better picture, this product creates a glasses-free environment, so no one will be subject to headaches or lose their glasses, which makes it so that everyone can now enjoy 3D imaging on the go or in the comfort of their own home.
