A team of designers comprised of Saulo Santos, Luisa Hybner, Victoria Castro, Nathany Rodrigues, and Nathan Henrique created the Oval Rocking Chair concept. The furniture pushes the boundaries of a traditional rocking chair by forming the structure using only four identical oval-shaped pieces. It turns what would usually be a complex piece of furniture into something that can be much easier to manufacture and transport.
This process also ensures that the assembly process is seamless as well. The design came to fruition after research found that many people felt a lack of comfortable furniture in the realm that supports both socializing and resting. The construction is clever and reduces the need for any hardware fasteners including nails or screws.
