The New Oort Series of Lighting is Inspired by the Oort Cloud

Fontana Arte works with engineer Jacopo Roda to design the Oort lighting series that is inspired by the Oort Cloud, which is a distant region of our solar system. It is where there are trillions of icy materials and rocks that come from a 'cometary reservoir' that go through the orbit and past the Earth occasionally.

The lighting is highlighted by its filaments of LED silicone tubes, which are notably flexible and encased in a ribbed glass cylinder. The capsule celebrates the icy debris that comes together to form the Oort Cloud. Similar to the region of Oort, it is able to transform into an infinite amount of shaps and structures that fit any space it is in.
