Eikund Re-Relreases an 1960s Classic—the Hunter Chair

This luxurious minimal chair design—a showstopper with its expertly crafted form and the high quality of its materials—is a contemporary take on a timeless classic. Norwegian furniture brand Eikund decided to pay homage to a 1960s design, the Hunter Chair by Torbjørn Afdal.

The piece is minimalist in material use, as well. The silhouette is comprised of sturdy saddle leather and a solid wood frame. The exquisiteness of its craftsmanship really comes out in fine details such as the solid cast brass buckles at the back of the piece and the "precise edge stitching details."

Eikund strived to create a close replica of Torbjørn Afdal's Hunter Chair. The luxurious minimal chair design was only slightly updated through contemporary manufacturing processes and materials to ensure its "durability, elegance, and timelessness."
