The Lightcamp was developed by Vantrack as a removable camper conversion that transforms the Kia PV5 Passenger into a four-person electric camper without permanently modifying the vehicle. The system combines a slide-out kitchen, an inflatable sleeping platform, and a removable rooftop tent, allowing the van to return to its original passenger configuration after use.
A fixed skylight provides access to the roof tent, while the compact kitchen includes an induction cooktop, bamboo cutting board, sink, and Dometic Go faucet supplied by an 11-liter water container. The production model is scheduled to debut in September.
The camper uses two inflatable sleeping pads that store beneath a pull-out bed platform to maximize cargo space. The rooftop tent folds onto the rear roof rack when not in use and provides sleeping space for two occupants, while the interior accommodates an additional two people. Built on the Kia PV5 Passenger, the conversion benefits from the vehicle's Utility Mode, which supplies power from the traction battery for onboard appliances, climate control, and lighting while parked.
