KAWS is releasing a new series of vinyl figures and posters aimed at streetwear collectors and fans of the label. Two ‘KAWS COMPANION’ statues in grey are being offered as the imposing figures in the Dadu Gardens. They resemble the ‘FAMILY COMPANION’ figures, in which the giant form seems to hand a globe object to the smaller, child-like version. The vinyl figures are delivered as COMPANIONS in three distinct color schemes: grey, brown, and all-black. The globe appears in all figures in its familiar blue and green configuration.
The figure might be considered one of the museum's distinguishing exhibits, as Dadu is also known as the Children's Museum of Qatar. KAWS is also selling a signed and numbered screenprint alongside the vinyl figurines. Only 500 editions will be available.
