American Airlines has announced it will be introducing the Just Egg Scramble as a new vegan breakfast option on select flights to offer travelers more meat and animal ingredient-free options on select flights.
The menu update will start on October 5, 2025 and will consist of a plant-based scrambled egg dish crafted with Just Egg instead of conventional eggs alongside hash browns, spinach, vegan cheese, corn and red peppers. The dish will be offered in premium economy class on select morning flights between Los Angeles and New York, and comes as part of American Airlines' wider shift to offering more plant-based fare on its flights.
The Just Egg Scramble from American Airlines was praised by PETA whose supporters previously encouraged the airline to add oat creamer to its drink menu in 2024.
