The IKEA x Teklan collection has been created in partnership between the furniture retailer and designer Tekla Evelina Severin as a series of tech-focused products for the home. The product range includes such options as the SOLSKYDD Bluetooth speakers in small, medium and large models that are meant to be mounted on the wall like a work of art, while also offering support for Spotify Tap and multi-speaker setups. The collection also boasts the KULGLASS lamp speakers in two styles and the FADO lamp that has been given a spotted finish overhaul.
Product Developer at IKEA Sata Ottosson spoke on the IKEA x Teklan collection saying, "Home electronics are often seen as purely functional, something many people want to hide. We want to change that. In recent years, we’ve learned a lot about developing high-quality sound products and how people want to furnish their homes with them. We’re treating speakers with the same care as the rest of the home, so they contribute to a room’s atmosphere and personality not only through sound but also through form, colour and character."
