JUCED, the United Kingdom's first fruit-based protein drink, has launched its Clean Protein platform alongside a new Pineapple and Passionfruit flavor. With this development, the company directly challenges the conventional protein shake category.
Recent research commissioned by the company, which surveyed nearly 600 protein shake drinkers, revealed that 68% find these beverages to be a chore, difficult to digest, or heavy on their stomachs, while only 26% did not perceive them as claggy, artificial, or overly sugary. JUCED maintains that this signals a clear gap between consumer expectations and the current market offerings. The study also found that 91% of respondents prefer obtaining nutrition from real food sources rather than processed shakes, and half view protein shakes as a necessity rather than an enjoyable part of their routine. JUCED positions itself as a genuine alternative, made from real fruit. Its beverages contain 15 grams of protein per serving, and the recipes are free from added sugars and artificial flavors.
Ultimately, JUCED's Clean Protein platform speaks to a growing desire for functional nutrition that feels natural, tastes great, and fits seamlessly into a healthy lifestyle without the negative trade-offs associated with conventional protein shakes.
