Belgian architect Bernard Dubois revamps the Bouchardon Hotel in Paris, which is a bespoke space that is defined by its 70s-themed wooden furniture and interior design. The Bouchardon Hotel is located in the Canal Saint-Martin district and features 11 suites. Each apartment is designed to have its own dining and kitchen spaces. The whole building is reconstructed and Dubois was tapped to elevate the interior in which he tried to create an intimate and inviting ambiance for guests. To do so, he uses earthy tonal fabrics.
Dubois explains the design, "The concept of this space was to break away from conventions, far from Paris. You can imagine opening a window in the morning and suddenly discovering a landscape reminiscent of Twin Peaks or Colorado. The colours and materials evoke mountain hotels, with carpeted hallways and entrances where one can hear the warm muffled sound of ski boots."
