Wood-Clad Office Spaces

The 'BeFunky' Office is Part of a Converted Warehouse

Fieldwork Design and Architecture converted an old, desolate warehouse into a modern and refreshing office space called 'BeFunky.' This unique warehouse in Portland was transformed into an open-concept space that encourages collaboration and connection.

The BeFunky's wood-clad walls bring a bit of the Pacific Northwest forestry to the indoors. The theme of wood is extended from the walls onto the desks and even the geometric window panes. The warehouse's distinct ceiling is maintained offering a visual contrast between the traditional wood-beams with sleek modern wooded walls.

One of the most impressive spaces in the office is a "whiskey lounge," which is decked out in a dark burnt color that resembles burnt wooden barrels used to age whiskey. The name is a bit deceiving, providing a relaxing space for employees who wish to unwind.
