Aptera Presents the ‘Launch Edition’ of Its Solar Electric Car

Aptera Motors has debuted the ‘Launch Edition’ of its three-wheeled solar electric car. The vehicle boasts a cW value of 0.13 and a range of 400 miles or 643 kilometers in its production launch version. The battery cells are obtained from Eve Energy, while the wheel motors are from Elaphe.

Other specifications include an AC onboard charger with an output of 6.6 kW, DC charging capabilities, and free-standing disguised front wheels. With the crash testing and validations, Aptera is finishing this innovative vehicle's last stage of its product development. After that, it intends to launch the manufacturing line for the ‘Launch Edition.’

"While our delivery timeline is funding dependent, our goal is to begin production by the end of 2023," said Chris Anthony, co-founder and co-CEO. "Once we meet our fundraising objectives, we will be able to provide a more accurate delivery timeline."
