With the new Star Trek movie on the brink of it's debut, I think it is time to pay tribute to one of the most successful plots in science fiction history.

Star Trek has always has dedicated fans (aka Trekkies) who have boldly gone to where no other fans would go. They have plastered their walls with Star Trek wallpaper, knitted Star Trek themed plushies and have even replicated Captain Kirk's chair for their living rooms.
