The Winter Olympic Games are in full swing and among the first to receive a gold medal is ice dancer Meryl Davis.

Ice skating is no glide in the park and Davis knows this better than anyone. This two-time world champion recently proved that she has still got all the stuff to be a winner with her most recent winning. Charlie White (her partner) and Davis were granted the gold for their performance in the 'Free Dance' category.

The athletes competing in this year's games have gone above and beyond with their training to be prepared for this historic event and so far, all their hard work shows.
