The 3M Young Scientist Challenge Has Selected Ten Finalists

The 3M Young Scientist Challenge is a collaborative initiative between 3M and Discovery Education. Ten students in grades five through eight have been selected as finalists for the 2025 iteration of this national initiative.

The 3M Young Scientist Challenge is recognized as a leading science contest for this age group. The program tasks participants with devising an innovative solution to a common issue, which they present in a brief video. The selected finalists will now be paired with scientists from 3M for a mentorship period during the summer, culminating in a final event in October where they will present their developed innovations. The overall winner will receive a monetary award and a distinctive title.

The 3M Young Scientist Challenge is supported by complementary educational materials made available to teachers and students.
