Beacon marketing is the practice of using beacon technology to connect with consumers' smartphones, allowing for targeted advertisements as giving users access to a wide array of services. It has applications in a wide variety of industries, but few have embraced it as whole-heartedly as the sports world has.
Beacon marketing is being rolled out in sports stadiums around the world to engage with fans as well as market products and services to them.
