Sticky notes were once only known as convenient adhesive note pads, but these days, the Post-It note has a much greater purpose, unlike other stationary materials.

This is an example of brand hijacking, which involves a consumer group using a product in a way it wasn't intended to be used and thus, bringing it to viral success.
