Alissa July

Alissa July, the spawn of a dancer-artist duo, was raised free-spirited and connected to nature. As a child she developed her own distinct sense of fashion punctuated by various kinds of large, old, or outrageous hats.

Alissa graduated cum laude with a BA in Politics and the Arts, and Dance. She enjoys dancing, reading novels, traveling, sewing, cooking and motorcycles. Chameleonic in character and a fast learner, she has been successful in all jobs held. She is a firm believer that if you want something badly enough, you can make it happen.

Alissa lived in India for four months, where she learned, performed, and researched the Classical Indian dance form Bharata Natyam. She plans to return to India to continue such studies in the future.

Alissa frequently has dreams of grandeur. These dreams include, but are not limited to: driving across the country, launching an antiques store, becoming a college professor, living in a tropical climate, and playing the role Velma Kelly in the musical Chicago (Alissa is virtually tone deaf. Some dreams sound better unsung.).
