Sapient Interactive 'uVend' Interactive Coke Machine Hits North America

Sapient Interactive has created an interactive Coke vending machine called uVend. uVend replaces the standard front of a vending machine with a 46” LCD touch screen rich with HD video, bluetooth and flash motion graphics.

uVend was unveiled at the Summer Olympics in Beijing. Aside from using hand motions and an interactive touch screen to order a coke, users can download music, ringtones and wallpaper for their phones. Oh Coke, you brand master you!

A fresh new way to order a cold one, these machines have made their way into a few U.S. shopping centers but have yet to arrive in Canada. Although it makes me wonder, do they come with someone to clean off all the finger marks?
