The Last Meals Project is a website, and soon to be a book, which portrays portraits of inmates who faced the death penalty next to their final meal. Those on death row can request whatever they desire for their last dinner, and the requests range from ordinary to unusual. It's interesting to see what people crave for in their final moments. This project aims to question the death penalty; this project humanizes the inmates who are made to be monsters by the media, and confronts viewers with a glimpse into their personalities.
The Last Meals Project will hopefully inspire people to take action to abolish the death penalty.
Implications - Consumers are becoming increasingly more visually-oriented as media relies heavily on images to convey their messages. For this reason, consumers appreciate infographics or data that is displayed visually instead of through text or numbers. Companies can convey their messages to their consumer groups successfully by making their advertising image-heavy.
