This year, The Gap is putting out a social media casting call, asking parents to upload pictures of their children to the GapKids Class of 2014 microsite, the Gap's page on Facebook or the Gap Casting Call app.
Parents are being asked to submit pictures that embody the "GapKids-inspired aesthetic and the free spirit of childhood, with all its perfect imperfections," and as a result, the child models who are chosen by GapKids will get the chance to represent the brand in an upcoming GapKids marketing campaign in 2015. Although the social aspect is a huge part of the GapKids Class of 2014 campaign, GapKids also set up photo stations at retail locations where kids could have their photos taken by professional photographers.
