All of these stunning pieces of jewellery by Paola Volpi of Rome, are made with industrial materials and products. Volpi combines the metal mesh from oil filters, copper wires and electrical cables with gold silver, pearls and crystals to create these contemporary necklaces.

The ruffled necklaces shown in images 1, 2 & 10 and the smoother designs of 8 & 9 are all made from oil filters used in industrial machinery.  Electrical wiring is used in the styles from images 4 & 5, and the sleek designs of images 3, 6 & 7 are created from flat electrical cables.

I guess you have to be very careful while wearing these or their shape would morph into something completely unintended.
