If rumors are true, Angelina Jolie will glitter at the Oscars in a $20 million necklace at tomorrow’s Academy Awards. Apparently, Angelina Jolie wants to ensure she outshines her husband’s ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, on the red carpet.
A quick Google search reveals little reference to $20 million necklaces, save for the ‘Heart of the Ocean’ blue diamond necklace designed for the Titanic movie by Harry Winston.
“She’s been driving all of the high-end jewelers of New York crazy,” a source told OK! about Angelina. “She’s looking for the impossible — a drop dead gorgeous $20 million diamond necklace to wear to the Oscars.”
But is going for over the top luxury the best way to stand out? I’d like to argue, no. The cluster below highlights some of the most innovative necklaces featured on Trend Hunter, and while I can’t imagine Angelina Jolie wearing most of these, they’d sure strand out against the other 2009 Oscar jewelry.
