Nickelodeon and Viacom decided that the Sundance Film Festival crowd needed another way to blow their dough, so the $75,000 SpongeBob pendant was created. The pricey pendant will be promoted and peddled to prominent and precocious prodigy whose parents are predictably pro-charity. It's part of the Nickelodeon's Big Green Help campaign. Pendants for the masses will be released later this fall.

Implications - Pop culture icons such as SpongeBob SquarePants are great to pair with charitable causes. Products such as a $75,000 pendant will draw the attention of extreme fans. These extreme fans will be driven to purchase this one of a kind piece for their collection, giving them the feeling that they are the number one fan.
