Arthur Arbesser’s Spring 2014 Collection showcases his new line in Giorgio Armani's House of Peroni during Milan Fashion Week. This Austrian designer shows a different side of Italian fashion, one that features structural lines and shift pieces that create loose, yet flattering silhouettes.
Also characteristic of this collection is the impeccable patchwork. It's stark and geometric, while making use of classic Italian fabrics. Clean lines of symmetry in shoulder patches and prints are all inspired by the Milan environment, with imposing archways becoming the central theme. Another noteworthy inspiration for this collection is the 1980 Milanese' Memphis Design Movement.
The garments typically feature a loose top-half while the bottoms hug the figure, adding a nice balance that is innately wearable. Patches of colors are featured on jackets and shirts as well.
