I am not sure how they sell massage balm in Thailand, but this Harnn Massage Balm campaign by Y & R Bangkok is more creepy and off-putting than appealing. And in the words of commenter djakuza, â€œAhhhh WTF??? awful!!!!!â€
The print ads are supposed to show you that Harnn Massage Balm provides deep relief. However, I think most people will not be relieved when they see an ad with fingers digging deep under the skin.
This campaign is an excellent example of taking a concept or idea about the product too literal without regard to its effect on the general consumer. I am actually surprised such an execution made it beyond the drawing board and into the real world!
