This circular robot named Mira was created by one of Pixar's technical directors, Alonso Martinez. The adorable circular robot will giggle and play peek-a-boo with you.

The idea is simple and the robot does little more than play peek-a-boo, but it certainly brings huge smiles to people's faces. Mira is a desk companion that looks like a sports ball. The upper half of the ball is a white shell that moves back and forth on a slight rotation. The shell also contains a pair of black eyes. The bottom half of Mira has a flat edge so the robot can sit on any surface and is equipped with LED lights that glow different colors like blue and purple.

The emotional robot gets sad when you "hide" but will giggle when you reappear during a fun game of peek-a-boo. This playful social experiment explores the relationship between humans and robots.
