Baal & Hyanide All-Terrain Concept Bikes (VIDEO)
[Edit]
The nice thing about the Baal & Hyanide All-Terrain Concept Bikes is that you can use then to drive completely over the Vespa MP3 bikes featured earlier today. That’s right, if you’re looking for the monster truck of motorcycles, then you need a B&H All-Terrain bike. These will rock your socks.
“Created by design students Tilmann Schlootz and Oliver Keller for the Michelin Challenge Design 2006 these off-road friendly bikes completely rethink the motorcycle concept. The bendable rubber track these bikes use (which looks a lot like a tank tread) guarantees maximum traction but also easy steering even on the roughest of terrains.” (Oh Gizmo)
From the Michelin Design Site:
To realize the Baal and Hyanide Designs, a completely new vehicle concept had to be developed. It is based on a bendable rubber track that guarantees maximum traction as well as freely changeable directions. To make the handling more comfortable and interesting, the vehicle is steered by hands and feet.
Being intelligent and ground adopting by construction and material, the system does not need complicated sensor systems or adjustable suspensions. Providing much space for a motor, the frame construction allows the use of several engine concepts like conventional fuel systems or fuel cell systems.
The displayed models use 500 ccm ATV Motor which are already mass produced. In general, this engine concept makes many different terms of use possible. In this case, two of them were further developed.
