The birth of RideShare, Airbnb and other collaborative consumption platforms has stimulated the sharing economy in exciting ways. With another recession on the horizon, it is only natural that the sharing economy would become as stimulated as it is with a slew of innovations that allow people to split the cost of leading a certain lifestyle.

Whether it is as simple as enjoying a home-cooked meal more often, splitting the cost of driving a car or going so far as renting a luxury home for a fraction of the cost, there are many reasons why a sharing economy is the way to go. It has even grown to address more niche needs such as dogsitting, retirement homes and WiFi.
