Some of high-tech ATMs are equipped with cutting-edge security technology that allows transactions to be carried out with the proper biometric authentication, such as getting an iris or palm scanned.

There are also a number of other ATMs that have been set up purely for marketing purposes. A few fun examples include ANZ Bank's LGBTQ-supporting GAYTMs and BMO's 10-foot banking machine, which playfully announces the company as an official sponsor of the NBA All-Star game. Away from formal bank branches, these novel ATM machines help some of the world's leading banks to show that they have a human side.
