An extremely rainy day in 1984... I was born! Lived in the fantastic small town of Oostrum (the Netherlands) till I was 18, moved to Arnhem to study Communications, did my internships and found an amazing job as trainer and advisor in communications. My life was on track!

Until the moment I walked into the Freaky Piano Bar in my hometown. There he was: the love of my life. A Canadian... you can guess the rest of the story. But here I am married and living in Toronto two years later. Time for a new challenge!
What's your favorite accomplishment?
Every time I say I want to see a certain animal the animals shows up a couple minutes after. Strange! This summer 'I want to see a mama bear and two cups'. Last fall 'I want to see a moose' and last week 'I want to see a coyote'. All my wishes came true.
How do you define cool?
Cool is what you are without noticing it. The moment you realise you are it you immediately loose you 'coolness'.
What is your secret to uncovering trends?
Isn't it a secret to stay a secret?
What do you enjoy most about Trend Hunter?
The discovery of new things every day. The worlds keep on creating great stuff!
What is your favorite trend?
I can't choose... Trends keep changing and so do my thoughts about them.
What are your tips for writing a juicy post?
Use the triangle: message, receiver and their wishes. Can you find the link between those three?
How do you reset to be creative?
A little walk in the sun and green tea with a hot sauce avocado sandwich after!
Predict something awesome for 2020?
Companies lose their power because everybody works independently. The effect? A way more creative world!
