Convenience Store-Inspired Sandals

Zizi Donohoe's Furry Slip-Ons Were Made for Runs to 7-Eleven

Designer Zizi Donohoe launched a colorful series of furry slip-on sandals in time for the summer, which came from a rather unexpected source of inspiration: a quick run to 7-Eleven to grab one's vices and necessities.

Although the sandals are perfect for heading to a convenience store in style, they can also be worn with more fashionable ensembles than the pajamas and sweats that one might pair with them for such an occasion. Zizi Donohoe explained this by saying, "They’re really indulgent. I thought there wasn’t enough design behind it, but then I realized it was a really easy, but fabulous thing. Instead of a sneaker, why not wear a mink slide and go to 7-Eleven or dinner at the Beverly Hills Hotel?”

Made from mink fur, the sandals come in various different monochrome colorways that enable consumers to choose one that suits their personal brand, with everything from bright yellow and baby pink, to deep forest green and periwinkle available.
