New Balance recently announced that it will be releasing a running shoe called the 'Zante Generate' that is made from 3D-printed materials. While the company confirmed that it was experimenting with 3D printing back in November, now fans can get a better look at what the futuristic sneakers consist of.
The Zante Generate is a running shoe modeled after the company's original Fresh Foam Zante design. The new sneakers will features a 3D-printed midsole made from a DuraForm TPU Elastomer material created by 3D Systems and sitched together using selective laser sintering technology.
Only 44 pairs of the 3D-printed shoes will be released, with pairs available both online and at the New Balance Experience Store in Boston.
