Benjamin Sarrazin Launched Yuba Boda Boda in the United States

Benjamin Sarrazin founded 'Yuba Bicycles' after being inspired by the Boda Boda system in East Africa. Boda Bodas are bicycle, motorcycle, and e-bike taxis that citizens and tourists can use to travel across East Africa while supporting the local drivers. Sarrazin enjoyed this concept so much that he founded Yuba Bicycles to bring some of the joy of e-bikes to the United States.

Yuba Bicycles are priced affordable at ranges around $700 USD, and offer expansive range for their price tag. One Yuba Bicycle, the 'Yuba Boda Boda,' boasts an e6000 Shimano motor and a maximum range of 150 km without needing to charge. The bike can be used in full-electric mode or in a pedal-assisted mode which extends the range based on the level of assistance needed.
