Yinka Ilori is a designer that can be easily identified by his signature colorful style. Most recently, he utilized his talent to pay tribute to "half a century of black creativity in the UK," ultimately bringing to the forefront spectacular manifestations of art, design, film, fashion, and photography. The event was held at the Somerset House in London and it was titled 'Get Up, Stand Up Now,' subtly alluding to the possible connotative meanings of the show.
Yinka Ilori's event is definitely rooted heavily in the personal and political aspects of each exhibiting artist's experience. The London-based designer creates quite an immersive sensation for visitors with the various colors and patterns that contribute to Somerset House's aesthetic.
This exhibition will run until September 2019.
