Whimsical Pop-Up Cognac Bars

Yinka Ilori Designed an Eye-Catching Pop-Up at Selfridges

Yinka Ilori, a designer well-known for his incredibly whimsical and vibrant visual language, was tapped by the Courvoisier brand to design a pop-up cognac bar. Located at Selfridges in London, the venue showcases Ilori's adept use of colors and patterns. In terms of inspiration, the designer was informed by the serene landscapes and natural elements of Jarnac, France's Cognac region. The wavy, fountain-like canopy, for instance, immediately captures the eye. Its form creates a sense of immersion and tranquility, evoking the flowing waters of the Charente River. The sunset gradient, on the other hand, which shifts from yellow to soft lilac, captures the visual transition from day to night.

As part of the pop-up cognac bar, Yinka Ilori also designed a limited-edition Courvoisier Very Superior Old Pale (VSOP) cognac bottle.
