Instead of sharing messages with friends, with the soon-to-be-released Xpress app, you'll be able to send emotions. Although the best way to do this now is attaching an emoji to your text message, Xpress takes things a bit further with facial recognition.
After snapping a selfie, a user's expression will be added to a 'Feelboard' to share with other users. To give some context to what's making someone so sad or happy, the app simultaneously captures a shot from both the forward-facing and the rear camera, and Being able to respond to photos and videos gives the app a Snapchat-like dimension. Although emojis can be great for helping to make a message sound more sarcastic or genuinely sad, Xpress brings a whole new level to messaging with emotion, because it is so extremely personal. The Xpress app is set to launch for iOS in the fall.
