If all needles were as giant as the Wuhan Greenland Center, one would never have any trouble looking for the one that got lost in that haystack. Set to be the fourth tallest building in the world and the third tallest in China, this pin-thin structure will certainly change the skyline of the city of Wuhan forever.
Designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, the Wuhan Greenland Center will reach a height of 1,988 feet with 119 floors. Although its slim and sleek aesthetic may give people pause when considering entering it, special vents at its edges help reduce wind resistance and vortex action, which usually causes a building to sway.
The Wuhan Greenland Center will be completed in about 5 years.
