Automated Warehouse Pallet Solutions

Geek+ and WSR Solutions Launch 'Smart Mixed Case Palletizing'

Autonomous robot manufacturer Geek+ has partnered with WSR Solutions, a company specializing in intelligent warehouse management tools, to launch 'Smart Mixed Case Palletizing." The new IoT solution merges Geek+'s mobile robots with WSR's intelligent palletizing algorithms to improve warehouse operations by automating outbound order processing.

More specifically, the tool was designed to make the outbound logistics process -- which involves storing, moving, and stacking pallets of goods -- more safe, efficient, and flexible. Operating in accordance with real-time demand, the Geek+ autonomous robots will optimize the movement of goods between storage areas and picking stations, while WSR's machine learning system will calculate how best to stack pallets of varying weight and size.

Ultimately, the new IoT solution aims to streamline "processes by eliminating the need for re-palletization" while "optimizing overall space utilization," explained Lit Fung, vice president of APAC, UK and the Americas at Geek+.
