This is a selection of more glorious work from Germany at the World Body Painting Championships. The octopus girl has to be the best example of body art I have ever seen.
I also particularly love the second image, which features a painted skeleton complete with a collection of skulls as a hat.
Implications - This body art represents a subsection of consumers who are artists seeking new and inventive ways to practice their craft. Body art is one of many forms of art that experiments with the concept of a canvas, with artists doing their work on everything from human bodies to food stuffs. It seems that consumers simply want new ways to express themselves.
