Mathew Cortland, a designer and former reading teacher is hoping to launch a wizard-themed pub with the help of Kickstarter backers.
He hopes to bring the magic that happens in favorite fantasy novels like Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings to life. He believes that with the use of technology, many of these magical feats are possible and is looking for financial support to make this happen. One of the ideas he has is to take the same tap technology that makes key fobs operate and dress it up to use as a magic wand that can turn on the lights or the fireplace. The food and drink menu will take inspiration from recipes mentioned in magical literature.
His hope is that with the help of Kickstarter backers, clever design and the use of technology, an enchanted wizard-themed pub experience will be possible. The Kickstarter campaign beings June 2017.
