Typography-Inspired Food Designs

The Taste the Font Design Event Transforms Web Fonts into Foods

The Taste the Font design exhibition cleverly showcased what iconic web fonts' hypothetical favorite foods would be. The result was a series of creatively displayed paper foods inspired by some of the most used web fonts. Showcased at the Vilnius Design Week this year, the Taste the Font exhibition is an ingenious design feat.

The Taste the Font project creatively uses web fonts to inspire food dishes that were then carefully constructed using colored paper cardboard. Each iconic web font was chosen to correspond to a different food, depending on the font's overall design personality. For the Times font's traditional look, designers chose to create the traditional bacon and eggs and marshmallow coffee for the playfulness of Comic Sans. The project overall is completely revolutionary and a canny merging of food and typography.
