Solving the 49-piece puzzle means decoding the unique patterns of the joints. The Waves Puzzle was designed by architects Benny Sachs and Eric Hoffman as a fresh take on a classic toy and brain teaser. “We wanted to reduce the jigsaw puzzle to the simplest possible element: the notched joints between each piece,” explain the designers. Inspired by growing waves, the puzzle joints differ in size and direction based on where they sit within the completed puzzle. The puzzle has two solutions with a square at the center. Because there are only a few types of joints, many other creative combinations are possible.
The Waves Puzzle comes in five translucent colors. It makes a perfect gift for people of all ages who want to unplug, reduce their screen time and stimulate their creative side.
